Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy

This DocBid Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy (“Policy”) supplements the DocBid Privacy Policy and explains how we collect, use, share, and protect consumer health data when you use the DocBid Services. This Policy applies to personal data that qualifies as “consumer health data” under applicable privacy laws (for example, data relating to health services you seek, including appointments, service records, and related health information).

This Policy does not apply to protected health information (PHI) regulated by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”), which is instead governed by HIPAA and the applicable healthcare provider’s privacy notices.

All capitalized terms not defined in this Policy have the meanings given in the DocBid Privacy Policy.

1. Consumer Health Data We Collect

We may collect and process consumer health data about you depending on how you use our Services. Consumer health data may include, but is not limited to:

  • Information that could identify your attempt to seek health-related services, such as service request data, appointment dates, procedures requested, and provider details.
  • Information about health-related conditions, symptoms, or reasons for requesting a service.
  • Insurance coverage details, including plan information and billing information you provide in connection with requesting services.
  • Other health-related information that could be used to infer data related to the above. We collect this data to the extent necessary to provide the Services you request or authorize, or as permitted by applicable law.

2. Sources of Consumer Health Data

We may collect consumer health data:

  • Directly from you when you submit it through forms, requests, or interactions with our Services.
  • From third parties such as healthcare providers or facilities involved in fulfilling your service requests (e.g., treatment plan quotes or service details).

3. How We Use Consumer Health Data

We use consumer health data for the following purposes (consistent with the purposes described in the Commercial or Business Purposes for Collecting Personal Data section of our Privacy Policy):

We may update this Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If material changes occur, we will notify you through the Services or by other appropriate means.
